Band March by the “Sliema” from the Sliema Front to the Church where then the Statue of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was welcomed with the Hymn “Viva Dejjem” of Domenico Quercetti.

Inauguration of the New Hall on the first floor of the Society’s premises and a reception for members and distinguished guest in the premises of the Sliema Philharmonic Society.

Feast Dinner under the Socety’s Theatre Tent with a menu prepared by Gino Colerio and his helpers and a spectacular show by popular singer Martin Elvis.

Traditional morning march by the “Sliema” Band accompanied with merrymaking organised by the Youth Section of the Society.



In the Evening, Procession with the Statue of “Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus” accompanied with sacred hymns played by the “Holy Trinity” Band of Marsa and numerous members and supporters of this biggest parish in Sliema.

Musical Programme by the “Sliema” Band in collaboration with the Sliema Local Council at Ghar-id-Dud, Sliema, marking the 10th Anniversary of the International Success of the “Sliema” Band in the Autonomous Region of Valle d’ Aosta, Italy.

Festive Marches by the “Sliema” Band along the Ghar-id-Dud and Sliema Promenade on inivitation by the Sliema Local Council.

The “Sliema” Band was invited to play band marches at the  Waterpolo Pitch of the Sliema Aquatic Sports Club, winners of the National Waterpolo League.

Reception at the Society’s premises for all parishoners where various presentations took place amongst which that of the Sliema Philharmonic Society.

Band Marches by the “Sliema” for the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi organised by the Franciscan Friars of our Parish. After band marches around various parish streets the “Sliema” Band accompanied the Statue of St. Francis in front of the Church where the traditional blessing of the animals was held.

Reception for directors and players of the Sliema Aquatic Sport Club in the Cultural Performanc Hall of the Society celebrating their success in winning for another year the Maltese Waterpolo Championship.

Inauguration of the rinnovation of the Society’s Bar and of the Billiards which was sponsored by Hon Robert Arrigo M P.

Annual Christmas Dinner Dance at the Antonin Maritime Hotel, Mellieha with a numerous attendance of members and supporters of the Sliema Philharmonic Society.
